History
A word from City Optical's founder, John Hall Sr.:
"Since day one, God has blessed our company and provided us with patients. He led us, we followed, and because of our obedience he has enormously blessed us with the greatest patients in the world who over time have become our friends."
City Optical's founder, John T Grant Hall Sr., started working in the optical business in 1965. For 17 years, John worked with Pearl Vision as both an office and regional manager at several different Pearl Vision locations. Taking his career to the next step, John and his wife, Brenda, founded City Optical Inc. on April 19, 1982 in downtown Tifton. John and Brenda started their business with two major principals: to make quality eyeglasses at affordable prices and to always offer friendly superior service to all their patients. Later, their son, John T Grant Hall Jr. started working as an apprenticed Optician in August of 1987. After graduation, John continued to work at his parent's business. In August 1991, he made the decision to continue with the family business when he became a licensed dispensing Optician in the state of Georgia.
After 17 years under John Sr. and his son's management, the business had grown, allowing them to expand the office's size in order to accommodate new patients.
